ABOUT

Having an outside strategist stylishly articulate the aspects of your business that will best resonate with your audience is critical. I can extract the most engaging aspects of what you do and integrate them with an efficient and instinctive user experience. Ideally, I like to create a toolkit of editorial resources that can be easily deployed for a variety of different purposes and readers. Adept at working independently or collaboratively, I have successfully partnered with PR firms and internal marketing departments, and will happily work with pre-existing content.

Working with clients in the design, public relations, technology, arts, legal, healthcare, real estate and hospitality fields, I know that regardless of the industry, content writing is too often the first line item to be deleted from a website's budget. But quality content is the proven key to attracting and retaining your audience, as well as improving a site's searchability and standings.

My clients are a motley crew, and the work I do for them is sometimes public-facing and sometimes an internal resource. I have written copy for everyone from pre-eminent cultural institutions to real estate investment firms, from tech startups to legal marijuana dispensaries. I'm never bored.

Recently, I took a class "User Experience: Research & Prototyping" offered by the UC San Diego Design Lab and I'm enjoying applying the principles of UX to the online content that I write.

Before I went into business for myself, I spent over a decade in Arts Education as a consultant, writing instructor, teaching artist, and program director and worked with Brooklyn Arts Council, MoMA, Tribeca Film Festival, New York University, City College of New York, Philadelphia's University of the Arts, Manhattan Family Court, the City of Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program, Artistic Noise, Community Word Project, Voices Unbroken and the Dia: Beacon Museum.

I'm a poet and an artist; occasionally I throw a killer dance party to raise money for good causes.
